Needham Lake

6 miles November afternoon walk around Needham lake in Suffolk.

A very short walk around the Needham lake in a still pleasant November day. The sky was cloudy and the outside temperature was quiet low, but still enjoyable and fantastic day out for a cheap and fantastic date. After a short walk around the lake, we took off to the nearby footpath leading us to a very close “waterfall” on side of river Gipping. Ha ha, not really a waterfall, more like a controlled water barrier what imitates a waterfall, but still nice. Managed to take some real moody pictures and capture the true autumn environment in the woods with some fallen yellow leafs. Truly the last couple of sunny days on the year before a very long British winter.

The closest postcode is: Coddenham Rd, Needham Market, Ipswich IP6 8NU

At the time of this visit the nearby Duck & Teapot was not constructed yet so we didn’t had the opportunity to have an afternoon tea, but later this tea-house was built and now is fully functional and welcomes everyone. https://www.cabbageskings.co.uk/

There is free on site parking where the Model boat club is and also there is a customer parking on the other side of the lake at the tea-house. Electric car chargers are available as well.

Here are some photos I took on this November walk. Enjoy: (pictures were taken with phone only)
