Lavenham

5 miles afternoon walk on a cloudy day around Lavenham.

A very beautiful village in Sudbury area with some world famous half-timbered medieval cottages and circular walks. In the medieval period it was among the twenty wealthiest settlements in England, this is what wikipedia states from the village and is easy to believe when you walk on those streets and see the area the atmosphere it gives you will lunch you back straight into the medieval ages, sadly just a couple of modern cars parked on the street disturbs the image.

The village is near by the A 134 and is really easy accessible within minutes getting off the dual carriageway. The center of the village is: High St, Lavenham, Sudbury CO10 9QA

The sky was really grey, was not the perfect weather for a nature walk, but managed to get around and do a 5 mile round trip around the village. parking on the high street is free and as long as you don`t block anyone’s entrance, you can leave the vehicle where you want basically.

Here are some photos I took on this dark cloudy day. Enjoy: (pictures were taken with phone only)
