Alton Water Reservoir Circular Walk.
The Alton Water Circular walk is a popular trail near Ipswich, Suffolk. It offers a 16.3-km loop trail. The route is generally considered easy, and it takes an average of 3 hours and 35 minutes to complete. This area is well-known for birding, fishing, and hiking, making it a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. There is a huge carpark inside the gates, camping options, kids playground, a café and some highland cows. There are plenty of other car parks around the lake, so if you want to start your walks from other points or do half walk you can easily find a space to park, Be aware the car parks are open until 18:00 only! If you feel you arrived around half past 2 afternoon (and the circular walk taking 3,5 hours), worth leaving your car in the village or outside the gates, or you will end up alone in the car park and with no option to leave, barriers will be down and locked after 18:00.
This was actually our very 1st visit together at this reservoir and we managed to do the whole circular walk.

Here are some photos I took on this day. Enjoy: (pictures were taken with phone only) Click on photos to enlarge them.
