River Gipping walk to Needham Market.

The River Gipping offers fantastic walking opportunities, with the footpath running along the old towing path used by barge men and their horses. Suffolk County Council adopted this path in the 1970s, designating it an official Long Distance path and undertaking its maintenance for year-round walker accessibility. The Gipping Valley’s rich history sees it transition from a tranquil rural setting to an industrial corridor and back to its peaceful origins over two centuries. One particularly scenic walking route along the River Gipping showcases the beautiful Suffolk countryside, providing an easy and flat path suitable for families or those seeking a relaxed day walk.

Was a lovely sunny day, we decided to stop at a mall lake for a selfie and to charge our self with some well deserved energy from the sun. Than finishing our riverside walk a Needham Market lake.
