Wrabness: A stunning summer day

Exploring the charms of Wrabness: A perfect hot summer day of discovery

This weekend, we visited the quaint village of Wrabness, and what a charming experience it turned out to be! This hidden gem, offered us a wonderful combination of stunning scenery, local quirks, and a glimpse into the sweet simple life.

Our adventure began at the old red phone booth, a classic British icon that had been repurposed into a mini library of sorts. As we approached, we couldn’t help but smile at the sight of this quaint structure, filled with an array of books. We spent a few moments flipping through the colorful covers, exchanging a book for another, and fostering that old-fashioned charm of community sharing.

Opposite side, we came across the local church, which stood proudly at the heart of Wrabness. With its lovely architecture and peaceful grounds, it was a perfect spot for reflection. The serene atmosphere enveloped us, and we took a moment to appreciate the beauty of this historic building.

As we meandered through the village, we stumbled upon an extravagant house that seemed to be plucked straight from a fairy tale—or perhaps the whimsical world of Wonderland! Its unique design and vibrant colors caught our attention, sparking our imaginations and inspiring us to dream a little. It was a reminder of the creativity and individuality that can be found in every corner of Wrabness.

One of the highlights of our walk was the picturesque hayfield nearby. The golden fields were freshly cut, a sight that brought back memories of warm summer days and rural life. We delighted in observing the hay wrapped into large bail rolls, creating a patchwork of rounded shapes across the landscape. The contrast of the green grass against the bright blue sky made for some stunning photos!

Our day in Wrabness was filled with simple joys, and we left feeling refreshed and inspired. As we got home, I realised that the moon is way bigger tonight as it used to be, not completely full, but is huge, so I took my tripod, set it up in the bedroom, anchored it with a backpack full of equipment and instructed my lovely lady to shut turn off all the lights so I can focus on taking shots. I took like 50 -60 shots, but none of them were looking outstanding in the camera, no problem, there always will be a next time.

If you’re ever looking for a lovely day out filled with charming sights and a taste of rural life, I highly recommend taking a walk through this enchanting village. It’s a place where you can slow down, appreciate the little things, and create delightful memories.
