Our journey begins in East Bergholt, where the charm of quaint cottages and historic sites sets the tone. As we set off, the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves create a soothing melody, making the walk feel like a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The path winds through lush fields and ancient woodlands, offering stunning views of the rolling Suffolk hills.
As we approach Flatford, the landscape opens up, revealing the serene beauty of the River Stour. It’s an excellent spot to pause, take in the scenery, and perhaps enjoy a peaceful picnic by the water. The café shop is really nice and the products they serve are phenomenal.
