A delightful day of nature, food, and community

Today, we set off on a wonderful adventure in the picturesque village of Lavenham, leaving our car parked in the village centre side road. With a sense of excitement, we made our way to the bustling makers market, where local artisans showcased their crafts. The vibrant atmosphere filled us with inspiration, and it was the perfect prelude to our day.

After browsing the market, we couldn’t resist visiting the local butcher. The aroma of fresh, piping hot sausage rolls was simply irresistible! We treated ourselves to these scrumptious snacks, savoring every bite. The indulgence prepared us for the next leg of our journey.

Next, we ventured out towards the nearby fields, meandering in a zig-zag pattern as we made our way to Collier Farm. The countryside was breathtaking; rolling hills and lush greenery surrounded us, providing a tranquil backdrop. As we continued our stroll, we soon arrived at Brent Eleigh, where we took a moment to explore the charming local church. Its historical architecture and serene ambiance offered a peaceful pause in our adventure.

Crossing the main road near the Cock Inn, we were delighted to encounter a group of cows grazing nearby, adding a touch of rustic charm to our walk. After waving goodbye to our bovine friends, we began our journey back, taking a slightly different route.

On our return, we stumbled upon a small lake, its surface shimmering in the sunlight. We followed a lovely trail lined with large trees and blooming daffodils, enhancing the beauty of our surroundings. With every step, we felt more connected to nature and the idyllic scenery around us.

As we crossed fields towards Bears Lane Farm, the tranquility of the countryside was palpable. Finally, we arrived back in Lavenham, where we couldn’t resist the allure of the village church. It was the perfect way to reflect on our day before heading back to our vehicle.

Our day in Lavenham had been a beautiful blend of nature, community, and delightful local treats. We can’t wait for our next outing!
