A day in Genova: discovering the gem of the Ligurian Coast

Today, we had the pleasure of exploring the vibrant city of Genova, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the stunning seaside views and the rich historical charm that this beautiful city has to offer.

Our day began with a leisurely stroll through the picturesque streets of the historic center. We marveled at the impressive architecture, from the grand facades of the palaces lining Via Garibaldi to the intricate details of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. Each corner revealed a new architectural wonder, and we found ourselves stopping frequently to snap photos and soak in the atmosphere.

Feeling adventurous, we made our way to the Porto Antico. The old harbour area has been revitalized and is now filled with restaurants, shops, and attractions. We couldn’t resist sampling some local delicacies for lunch. Food, was nothing short of fantastic.

No visit to Genova would be complete without diving into its cultural offerings, so we visited the renowned old town of Genova. It was a treat for the soul, looks a little bit like the Barcelona old town. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with exploration.
