The Duck Race in Grundisburgh

A beautiful day in Grundisburgh.

Today’s walk in Grundisburgh was truly charming. Upon arriving in the village, we headed straight to the Village Green, where they were selling tickets for the much-anticipated toy duck race happening at 14:00. We quickly bought our tickets and set off to explore the beautiful countryside surrounding the village.

Our walk took us past a stunning old Mill House at Burgh, a picturesque reminder of the village’s rich history. We crossed golden barley fields and lush wheat fields, soaking in the peaceful rural scenery. The fresh air and vibrant landscape made for a perfect afternoon escape.

As the time for the duck race approached, we made our way back to the Village Green. The village was buzzing with excitement, and we enjoyed some refreshing coffee, ice-cream and beer while watching the adorable toy ducks race down the stream. It was great fun, and we even bumped into some colleagues, sharing laughs and cheers before the ducks competed.

All in all, it was a wonderful day filled with scenic beauty, good company, and a touch of village tradition. Can’t wait to return for another walk in Grundisburgh!
