A brilliant day at Horsey Gap and beyond.

Today was a truly memorable day spent exploring the beautiful sights of Norfolk. Our adventure began early in the morning when we arrived at Horsey Gap, greeted by an overcast sky that added a soft, muted charm to the landscape. Our first stop was the National Trust windmill at Horsey, a picturesque spot that offered some fantastic photo opportunities. We took our time capturing the quaint beauty of the windmill and the surrounding countryside, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.

Next, we made our way to the beach, eager to see if we could spot some seals. The beach was bustling with visitors, and although the seals kept their distance in the water, their playful presence was delightful to watch. As the morning progressed, the clouds parted, and the sun made a welcome appearance. This change in weather transformed our walk into a lovely, sunny stroll along the shoreline. We enjoyed watching surfers catching waves and many sunbathers relaxing on the sand, soaking up the warm sun and vibrant seaside atmosphere.

After a refreshing walk, we headed to the nearby village of Martham. Our visit wouldn’t be complete without stopping at our favorite kebab shop—an annual tradition! This place never disappoints, serving up authentic Turkish kebabs that are simply spot on. We indulged in some delicious food, savoring every bite, before taking a leisurely stroll through the village. We explored the charming streets, visited the local church, and enjoyed the quaint, friendly vibe of this lovely village.

As the day drew to a close, we started our journey back home, but not before making a final stop at The Pulham Patch. This enchanting wildflower meadow, pumpkin field, and corn maze provided a perfect end to our day. The vibrant colors and natural beauty of the meadow made us feel connected to nature, and the pumpkin field and corn maze added a touch of autumnal magic.

Overall, our day in Norfolk was absolutely brilliant—full of scenic views, wildlife encounters, delicious food, and peaceful moments. It’s days like these that remind us of the simple joy of exploring and appreciating the stunning countryside and coastal delights of Norfolk. We can’t wait to return!
