During a delightful day in Cinque Terre, we visited Monterosso al Mare and Vernazza. After reaching Monterosso, we planned a hike to Vernazza but found the trails required a fee, so we took the train instead. We enjoyed vibrant views, narrow streets, and concluded our day with pizza and gelato, cherishing the experience.

Exploring Genova, we enjoyed its stunning seaside views and rich historical charm. The day included a stroll through its historic center, admiring impressive architecture, and a visit to the revitalized Porto Antico for delicious local cuisine. Genova’s blend of history and culture left us eager to return to this coastal gem.

Our trip to Lake Como was unforgettable, featuring a scenic bus ride, delicious Italian coffee, and breathtaking views from Chiesa Parrocchiale di Sant’Andrea and Faro Voltiano. We enjoyed refreshing dips in the lake, delectable paninis, and awe-inspiring architecture at the Duomo di Como and Templo di Volta, culminating in the best gelato in Bellagio.

Today in Bergamo, Italy, we experienced a delightful culinary journey and stunning views. After landing, we explored the city center, enjoying pizza topped with local mozzarella and exquisite gelato. The evening was capped with satisfying lasagne. We then took in panoramic views before heading to Tavernerio to visit friends. Adventure continues tomorrow!

Today, we enjoyed a scenic 10-mile walk from Sudbury to Long Melford, blending nature and history. Starting at the River Stour, we visited the 13th-century Market Cross and the beautiful Holy Trinity Church. The return journey was highlighted by playful hares and highland cows, leaving us grateful for a delightful day outdoors.
